ІІ. COLLECTIVE
ACHIEVEMENTS
IN BULGARIAN
FASHION
The overall dynamics of the Bulgarian fashion
design or formulated in another way, the gross
national product of the Bulgarian fashion is defined
to an extremely high level by the status and the
development of the big producers of garments and
accessories. In 2005, the image of the Bulgarian
fashion industry was created by big companies such
as Agressia Group, Max Danielli,
Rollmann, Markam, Rila Style, MirO,
Apolo, Denil, Tani, Dafne and a number of
others. What is important for their activities
is the fact that parallel to the launching
of new modern understandings and
trends in dressing style, they rely on the
latest technologies in the designing, cutting
and sewing of the clothes.
Agressia Group continued to present in an
excellent manner the national production
of high quality men's clothing using the
best fabrics in the world - Dormeuil,
Cerruti, Zegna and others. Agressia
Fashion
House was worth its award Fashion Mercury 2005 for unusual scope
of investments, entrepreneurship and
business in the sphere of men's style.
Besides that last year this fashion giant
enlarged its activities by opening the boutique
of the famous American brand Calvin Klein
Jeans in Vitosha boulevard in proximity to the
National House of Culture. Denim, velvet, leather,
satin and cotton are the leading fabrics of the
designs offered in Sofia since not long ago.
Comfort, simplicity and parallel to this a challenge
and a mix of surprising ideas mark the clothing of
the Calvin Klein
Jeans brand.
Miroglio Bulgaria and
its two brands -
Miroglio Lana (for
woolen fabrics and
yarns) and Jorjetti (for
silk fabrics) continued
to operate in full
power and of high
quality in the territory
of our country. It is
known that the Italian
textile giant owns
three factories in our
country, in Sliven, in
Elin Pelin and Nova
Zagora, respectively,
and invested a total
of 180 million euro in
fixed assets,
machines and equipment.
The fact that the capacity of Miroglio Bulgaria for the production
of
woolen and wool type fabrics is approximately 7 million
metres per year and that of silk fabrics is 8 million
metres would be interesting to know as well as
that more than 1,300 are employed in the Bulgarian
branches of the concern.
The year was especially successful for the quickly
prospering MirO Fashion House, whose manager
and designer is Miroslav Stamov. This fashion house
was awarded two gold medals at the Plovdiv
International Consumer Goods and Technologies
Fair in section textiles and fashion. These awards
were for achievements in the computer design of
clothing - effective use of the CAD/CAM systems
and technologies for the designing of fashion collections.
Miro has recognition abroad as well: currently
MirO exports original production to countries like
England, Germany, Greece, USA, etc. |
