THE PREMIERE OF ALMANAC
2002-2003

For a third year in succession Bulgarian Fashion 2002-2003 Almanac is out of print. More than 800 people attended the premiere of the new catalogue, the introduction to which was made by the wife of our president Mrs Zorka Parvanova. One of the peaks of the premiere at Sofia Land was the auction organised by Dessi Banova - the girl of Citro?n for the evening. The event at Sofia Land was that of charity but this fact shall be mentioned later. The Parliament members Antonia Parvanova, Vesela Draganova, Evgenia Zhivkova, Andrei Pantev, Kamen Vlahov as well Julia Bull, Akio Takada, Stavri Kalinov, Riton duet, Neli Rangelova, Martin Zahariev, Sylvia Katsarova, Hana Rokudjo and many others were among the official guests of the event.

A lot of collections of well known and prominent Bulgarian designers and fashion houses as well as collection of young and not that known designers, were shown at the time of this premiere. Here are the brief characteristics of some of them. The modern woman is formal at all times and throughout the seasons and feels no doubt comfortable in both tweed costumes and evening dresses designed by A-Style and the designer Elena Moskvichova. Piling the fabrics parallel to the classic plain line create the sense of comfort, pragmatic approach and freshness. The main colours are white, black, red, orange, sky blue and green. Though a little more severe, the ladies' suits of Ryla Style for the winter offer comfort, functionality and dynamics. The combinations of fabric and leather prove that the well measured aggressiveness with the amazons of today is attractive and magnetic.

The woman on Christmas and New Year's Eve seen by Lucil is romantic, feminine and with a nostalgic attitude to the classic, deep emotion. Taffeta is dominating among the fabrics in playing palette - stripes of turquoise, green and lilac, goldish with brick colour and ochre. The tight bodices and the free lower parts provide a nice sensing of past ages and sound modern.

Here is the vision of Polya Milanova - the designer of fashion house Mon Amour, of the celebrating lady: heer crystal organza with woven in golden web-like thread. The evening dresses are in beige and salmon. The skirts are made of sheer fabrics like satin and velvet. The deep low cuts on the back attribute to the additional elegance femininity. The models may be combined as they have exchangeable bodices and skirts. The bodices are worked out of exquisite laces and embroidered with stones.

Victoria Unique addressed boldly its new proposals for the season autumn-winter 2002/03 at the time of the premiere of Almanac of Bulgarian Fashion 2002 - 2003 in Sofia Land. The neckties promoted by it combine elegance, classic and non-standard. The accent is on the red, the yellow and the blue, the stripes being on top of fashion, followed by squares and embroidery. Silk and polyester silk are the fabrics of priority, as well as the combination of silk with wool.

At the gala show on the occasion of the Almanac of Bulgarian Fashion 2002 - 2003, the bearers of Zlatna Igla (Golden Needle) award of the Academy for Fashion Natally Genova, Maria Micheva and Albena Alexandrova, as well as fashion for children L C Wiakiki, men's fashion Favorit, the underware of Cotton Club, etc., also made a very good presentation. The students from the Fashion Design Faculty, among whom Adriana Gerassimova from the National Academy of Art, as well as Biliana Kirilova from New Bulgarian University also showed their works,.
